EnABLE's knowledge and capacity building activities, which were initiated in FY22 and completed in FY23, focused on supporting the Ministry of Environment and East Kalimantan Provincial Government in raising awareness and facilitating the inclusion of Indigenous and local communities, including adat communities and forest-dependent groups, within the country’s emission reductions program jurisdiction. 

The EnABLE country programming in Indonesia is intended to enhance the inclusion of target marginalized and disadvantaged groups in the East Kalimantan province by improving their ability to develop viable investment proposals for financing under the benefit sharing plan to promote low-carbon livelihoods, particularly for women. EnABLE country programming in Indonesia is being implemented by KEMITRAAN.
