Country Programming Details
EnABLE’s knowledge and capacity building activities, which were initiated in FY24 and are ongoing, focus on Indigenous Peoples ,traditional local communities and other marginalized groups in remote areas, particularly women.
EnABLE country programming in Fiji is intended to enhance the inclusion of both iTaukei and non-iTaukei constituencies, particularly women, in target remote and marginalized communities. The proposal, valued at US$4 million, was prepared in FY24 and endorsed by the EnABLE Steering Committee the same year. Currently under development, one set of activities will be implemented by the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs, Culture, Heritage and Arts (MTACHA) while another set will be implemented by the World Bank in partnership with selected local nongovernment organizations.
