The Forest Carbon Partnership Fund and the World Bank regional teams are supporting Alisos and Kinomé in organizing the Cacao & Forests: Knowledge Exchange Programme which seeks to connect actors, exchange, learn and discuss different realities of the cocoa producing countries in Africa and Latin America. This initiative promotes and strengthens a global network of sustainable cocoa through agroforestry arrangements.

The 10-month programme is bringing together key actors and stakeholders from the cocoa value chains of Ghana, Ivory Coast, Colombia, Peru, Brazil and the Dominican Republic, as well as organizations, initiatives and interested institutions around the world with the aim of connecting, exchanging and learning about different realities in the production, processing, distribution and commercialization of sustainable cocoa.

S9: Networking, will take place next Wednesday 15th September from 10:00am to 1:00pm EST time via zoom. This 9th session, follows the sessions on the international sustainable cocoa context,  we held in June, the regional context from Africa and Latin America, discussed in July, and the session on cross-cutting themes and solutions for both of the region's challenges addressed last August. In September, the session aims to facilitate access among key stakeholders and strategic partners of the cocoa value chain, to promote and boost a Global Sustainable Cocoa Network.

Finally, this session will build our final session in October where we will create a joint vision 2030 for the construction of a global  sustainable cocoa network.
