Unique Approaches Promote Social Inclusion in ERP Process in Ghana and Dominican Republic
Written by Okyeame Kwame as part of EnABLE-supported activities in Ghana, happy rap beats are inspiring local communities and civil society organizations (CSOs) to reduce carbon emissions and build resilient livelihoods. The song reminds listeners “We all have a role to play: let’s plant trees, let’s protect our forests, and let’s share in the benefits together.”
This same spirit of inclusion and shared responsibility resonates beyond West Africa. In the Dominican Republic the EnABLE-supported film Aquí también lideramos (“Here, we also lead”) brings this message to life by spotlighting women who are driving change in agroforestry, sustainable agriculture, natural resource conservation, and the management of protected areas. By amplifying the voices of women—and of the men who stand beside them—the film demonstrates how inclusion and sustainability are being advanced within these communities.
