Enable Supported Film Showcase the Importance of Inclusion of Forest-Dependent Women in Climate Action in Cote D'Ivoire
As part of its country-level knowledge and capacity building on climate mitigation activities in fiscal year 2025, EnABLE supported the development of a special film that shines a light on the role of gender and social inclusion in emission reductions programs (ERPs). The French-language film centers on women from ethnic and vulnerable forest-dependent communities in Côte d’Ivoire, sharing their perspectives on the challenges they face, their achievements, and the concrete steps needed to strengthen their participation in ERP processes to enable them to access the program and its benefits.
A series of short video and audio clips were also developed to highlight key themes, such as women in agroforestry and persons with disabilities. Together, these materials serve as a practical communications tool for project teams and a resource to convey ground-level realities to government counterparts and other stakeholders.
